$5.99 a case!!!

So I went to the store on Monday to buy a case of strawberries.
The sale started on Friday and I was suppose to go after
work, but I didn't. So on Monday I went thinking that they
would all be gone, and when I walked in the store they had
rows and rows of them stacked taller than I am (I know that
isn't saying a whole lot since I am only 4' 11"), but still you
get the idea. So I ended up buying 2 cases and would have
bought more but I just don't have the freezer room.
Anywho I had a fairly early day at work and got started on
canning strawberry freezer jam, it took me 3 hours to
do 2 cases and I ended up with 26 pints. WOW!!!
I still didn't have that much room in my freezer, so we
shared and took some to Grandma Goodall, my sister,
my aunt and one of my dear sweet friends who lives
just a few blocks from us. She loves it:) So that is good.
And yes Kami I still have enough to send home with you too
when you come down this week. Jeni wanted to learn but
didn't get off work till 6pm and I was all done by then.
Oh well there will always be a next time.

KANYON MAKING COOKIES

Jeni decided to make cookies and wanted Kanyon
to help her. He loved it, and didn't want Jeni to
be in the picture with him, when she tried to
get in the picture he would tell her "NO" and
push her away. Kaden got in there and him and
Kanyon had their hands all floury and loved
to show off for the camera. They all had a fun
time!

My new scrapbook room...all done!

Well, here it is finally....all done!
I thought I had more pics of when we
had the floor tore out down to the dirt
and you could see the crawl space.
I'm sure I have them on a disk somewhere.
I used a warm spice for the walls, and
all the closet doors, trim, ceiling and door
are done in high gloss white. And the
carpet is called Golden Rod or something
like that. It is a short shag, dark brown with
green and burgandy specs in it. It is so nice to
finally be able to walk on the floor without shoes
and not be afraid of stepping on nails or something.
Now I am just trying to put it all together, going through
some things and putting it all away nice and neat on the
wonderful shelves that Curtis built=)
Thanks Curtis, I love them!Posted by Picasa

Our humble abode

This is our cute little 100 year old home...
it has had and will need lots of TLC.
I finally finished my new scrapbook room
and will post before and after pictures
of it, hopefully tomorrow.
