Kaden's birthday dinner at Outback Steakhouse
Kaden originally wanted to go to Tucano's for his birthday but they had a 2 hour wait and we were really hungry, so he decided to go to Outback Steakhouse..always a personal favorite of mine. Kyler figured that if Kaden got to go with him for his birthday dinner then he was going to go on Kaden's birthday. So Jo started to take some pictures and Kyler for some reason decided to hide behind me..crazy kid! We always invite our very best friends with us for birthday dinners and they are kind enough to come and enjoy it with us. So Kyler orders a steak and Kaden orders if you can believe it.....a hamburger:) But he said it was wonderful and wasn't really sure why he didn't go for the steak..oh well maybe next time. We all had a great time!
Happy 15th birthday Kaden!
This week we had Kaden's 15th birthday...he is getting so old and is seriously thinking about driving...soon!! It makes me sad (in a way) as a mom to think that after Kaden gets his drivers license I will only have one more child who will be able to get his drivers license. I always get a little stressed and scared when it comes time for them to get behind the wheel. For the most part all of our kids have been pretty good drivers so I can't complain too much, but it is always scary at first. Kaden wanted some batman legos but for some odd reason they didn't sell them in Utah, so he got $ and a gun cleaning kit instead. He was excited and I think it was a little unexpected but he is happy and can't wait to learn how to clean his gun and has a few willing brothers to teach him. So Happy Birthday to you Kaden, we love you!
KANYON LOVES TO PLAY HIDE-N-SEEK
Kanyon loves to come to our house and play hide-n-seek in the blinds and plants. He is so funny he will come over and grab your hand and pull you to where he wants you to go, then he will make you stand in one spot while he goes and hides behind the plants or behind the blinds. He does this all while you are watching him and he thinks he has outsmarted you...so whoever is playing will just play along and in the end we are all enthralled by his squeal of delight that he has been found!

Quilting
Kyler watched his sister work on a couple of quilts and he wanted to make his own quilt, he was so excited! We went to the store and he picked out the material, took it up to the lady and told her how much he needed so she could cut the material and then paid for the material all by himself. I got home from work and he was putting the quilt on the quilt frames, and he was doing a pretty good job of it too. I helped him finish and showed him a couple of stitches to try so he could start to tie his quilt. It took him a few days and he had it done. We then made a short trip to Santaquin to Grandma Goodall's, he wanted to see if she would bind it for him. We walked in the kitchen and her and Grandpa were sitting at the table, Kyler took out his quilt and showed it to them while his Dad proceeded to tell them the story of his quilt. I looked at Grandpa and he had tears in his eyes...and it didn't take long for Mom to have the same effect (people crying does that to Mom's you know). So Grandma was excited and said she would be happy to bind it for him. A few days later we went and picked it up. He has been smiles ever since. We are so PROUD of him!

I talked to Auntie DaLayn about starting a blog...we will see. She feels very confused about the whole thing, but I told her I would help her and if she didn't want to post a pic of her, just post of the kids and their achievements and what is going on in their lives. So, no definite yes or no answer, but I will keep working on it. If nothing else we could get it set up and teach the kids how to blog:) Then we could all stay posted together!! Love to all!

Happy Valentines day from Grandma & Poppa
Happy Valentines day came a little early for Kanyon & Kaleb...Grandma got too excited to wait!!
Kanyon got the red and white shirt he is wearing, it says...That's it I'm telling Grandpa, and he got the big red and white puppy in this picture. Kaleb got a smaller version of the same dog and the outfit he is wearing that says...Who loves ya? Me! They came down on Friday and stayed overnight. We had a wonderful time. We went to dinner with some good friends of ours and took Kami & Curtis with us and the kids stayed home and babysat and ate pizza. We had fun:) Curtis worked way too hard though! But we appreciate all he does for us, he is such a gogetter! We love him!

Kaleb's blessing
Kaleb's blessing...
Kaleb was blessed in our ward on Sunday, January 4, 2009.
He was blessed by his Grandpa Jo Goodall. It was
a beautiful blessing and we are so Thankful for
everyone who could be there, and missed those of
you who live so far away.
We had a wonderful meal afterward at our home
in Payson, that consisted of some wonderful chili
that Great Grandma Goodall made, bread sticks
and my personal favorite....doughnuts to go with
the chili!! Funny huh.???? In school we
always had chili and doughnuts (usually sugar)
for our school lunch. I just loved it:)
So needless to say most of Curtis' family
had never even heard of it, but once they got the taste
of it...they loved it too!!!!! You should try it sometime:)
We had a very spiritual day and loved having the opportunity of
having everyone at our home for this blessed event.
